Omid is a commercial and intellectual property lawyer and a key member of the Cosmetics Practice Group at Bespoke. Given his cosmetics practice has a specific focus on intellectual property, he is currently studying towards a Master of Intellectual Property Law at the University of Melbourne.
Omid has significant experience drafting and negotiating distribution and manufacturing agreements (domestic and cross-border) and advising clients on advertising material, product labelling, returns policies, chemical importation and other competition, consumer and regulatory issues for cosmetics businesses.
Omid regularly practises in intellectual property, including trade mark matters (such as applications, clearance advice, preparing submissions to the trade marks offices in Australia and New Zealand, oppositions and infringement matters) and copyright infringement matters.
Omid’s strong commercial awareness skills means he places importance on understanding each stage of the cosmetics product supply chain to provide legal services with a holistic approach and an in-house philosophy.
