Omid is a commercial and intellectual property lawyer with a focus on supply chain regulatory and commercial matters. He is a key member of Bespoke’s Intellectual Property team and Trade, Transport & Regulatory (TTR) group. He is also studying towards a Master of Intellectual Property Law at the University of Melbourne, including further study in International Trade Law.
As part of his work in Bespoke’s TTR group, Omid assists Bespoke’s clients with their regulatory compliance and import/export issues, including advising clients on Customs infringements and investigations. He particularly enjoys assisting clients with their registration, disclosure, reporting, labelling and advertising compliance requirements when importing into Australia, including products regulated by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, National Industrial Chemicals Notification and Assessment Scheme and Therapeutic Goods Administration.
Omid regularly drafts and negotiates domestic and cross-border supply agreements and trade mark licences for white-labelled goods. He also has a keen interest in and advises clients on parallel importation / the importation of ‘grey goods’ into Australia.
